The Singapore Money Brokers Association (“SMBA”) is a non-commercial, non-profit organization established by a body of interdealer brokers in Singapore with the objective of promoting the professional competence and ethical standards amongst its members.  Its objective is to facilitate discussions of good practices and fostering improvements in market practices amongst its members.  As a representative body, the SMBA strives to represent and advance the collective interests of its members in their relationships with their customers and their representative associations and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”) through:

 

Cultivating communication channels among members by providing a forum for discussions and exchange of dialogues as well as sharing of pertinent information on issues affecting the local and overseas markets; and

Providing feedback to the MAS and other industry organizations and associations with the aim to foster growth and development of Singapore as a financial centre
